I have been playing Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances for a few months, here are some random thoughts about this game.

GDI or Nod? – I used to be a GDI fan, and GDI does have the whole good guy persona that most people love. After playing GDI in a few worlds, I decided to give Nod a try. Holy shit! Nod can ash bases much easier and faster than GDI! With the same offense level and 1~2 units of each army type, my Nod does perform better than GDI, is it unbalanced?

“You were disconnected from the server.” – For some reason, I always got this connection problem message. Maybe the game is too big to fit in a browser or something, I don’t know. That’s getting annoying if you are in the midst of attacking a base. Usually, do nothing and wait for a few seconds, that message will go away and the game will be resumed. Nevertheless, the game would be more fun without this kind of interruption, and I would be more eager to buy game fund. Anyhow, I do purchase additional command points and repair time from time to time.

The end of combat simulator? – So far, I would consider “Tiberium Alliances Combat Simulator 1.4.1.5” as the best combat simulator script for Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances. This addon script worked very well with FireFox, it provided not only combat simulation, but also statistics information telling you damages taken by the defense facility, defense HQ, and construction yard. It also had a set of buttons for player to move army units up or down, left or right. Too bad, the latest game patch has crashed the script completely, I guess EA doesn’t like these scripts. Yea right, anything that can make gamers’ life easier, game companies probably don’t like it.

How to make tons of credits? – If you plan to add more and more bases, one major problem is to get lots of credits for the base research. I found the followings useful: 1. Be patience, don’t move resources around too often, those costs are expensive especially if your bases are far from each other. 2. If possible, attach a power plant to each refinery. 3. Join a top 5 or 10 alliance, most of the time the alliance bonus would be much better than what you provide for yourself. Remove harvesters and build more refineries.

Wish List – 1. I want a set of buttons to move army units around left, right, up and down. 2. A little display about how much repair time remained from each base, that would come in handy. 3. Fix that disconnection problem.
